CPA Day at the Capitol 2027

CPA Day at the Capitol is CalCPA’s annual event to kick off its advocacy efforts for the upcoming legislative year. The Legislative Summit gives members a platform to hear from a variety of panels on a wide range of policy issues. We encourage CalCPA members to attend this free event to help increase the visibility of the profession in the political arena. Taking place February 2–3, 2027, in Sacramento, this is a great opportunity to meet and build relationships with elected legislators and inform them of the important issues facing the CPA profession. Both days will be held at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel, 500 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. Tentative Schedule Tuesday, February 2: Legislative Summit 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Legislative Summit Wednesday, February 3: CPA Day at the Capitol 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. Breakfast and registration 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Legislative issues briefing 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Legislative meetings Important Notes Attire for both days is business. Be sure to bring your business cards. You may also want to bring an umbrella, as rain is possible in Sacramento this time of year. Please be advised that due to space constraints in legislative offices, attendees may be limited to 1-2 legislative meetings. This is a CalCPA Member event.
