I have run a marathon, but my favorite hobby is developing future CPAs. I am an auditor by training. I was the first in my family to go into accounting and had to find my own way, so now I help others take the next step in their careers. I was also the first person to sit on the CalCPA LA Chapter Board without a CPA license. Today, I serve as Southern Coastal Regional Director, Future of the Profession, host Sunday CPA study sessions for CPA candidates, and sit on advisory boards at Cerritos College, Mt. SAC, and CSUSB. In six years with CalCPA, I have had the honor of supporting students and young professionals who were already leaders in their own way, and several of them are now CPAs.
